Terms of service

SeoSet.app checks the website and the Google Maps profile of a home service business or contractor and shows the result: an overall score, a score for each section of the report and the problems found. If we could not check an item, we say so.

The free check is provided “as is”: we work to make it accurate, but we do not promise that it is complete, free of errors or fit for your purpose. It shows what is wrong. Fixes, ready-made texts and search position tracking are not part of it.

The service is meant for checking your own business or a business you are entitled to act for. The details you enter must be correct, and you must have the right to give them to us.

Do not use the service to put load on other people's websites, to send mass automated requests or to get around its limits. The limits are: no more than 3 new checks per hour from one address and no more than 3 new checks of one website per 7 days; a repeat request with the same choice of service lines and services within 7 days opens the saved result. If the service is misused, we may restrict access.

We run only passive checks of public pages: simple GET requests to the home page, the robots.txt file, the sitemap and no more than 20 pages of the site. We identify ourselves as SeoSetBot (User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; SeoSetBot/1.0; +https://localrate.store/en/bot)).

Besides the website you are checking, SeoSetBot visits up to 3 competitor websites found through web search: on each of them it reads the robots.txt file, the sitemap and the home page. We follow the robots.txt rules of those sites.

We do not scan for vulnerabilities, guess passwords, fill in or submit forms, enter closed areas or change anything on the site. If you own a website and do not want SeoSetBot to check it, write to us and we will consider your request.

We receive Google Maps data (name, rating, review count and more) from Google. It is shown under Google's terms, including the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service, and is labeled “Google Maps”. We do not store it, except for the place ID (place_id). This data belongs to Google and its sources: you may view it on the result page, and for any other use see Google's terms.

For the speed check we use Google's PageSpeed Insights. From it we store only our own result: the mobile speed score for your website and our conclusion from it.

SeoSet.app is not affiliated with Google and is not endorsed by Google.

We do not guarantee Google rankings or how quickly you reach the top. Google decides how to rank websites and profiles, and the outcome depends on many factors we do not control. The score and the list of problems reflect the state at the time of the check. We do not promise that fixing the problems found will lead to any particular result.

The paid services (the full report of a check, a full audit and the ongoing service), their prices and timelines are described on the pricing page. The full report is paid for on the result page; the full audit and the ongoing service are paid for by the Stripe links on the pricing page. Payment goes through Stripe: we do not receive or store your card details. The pricing page describes the services and is not a public offer.

For the full audit and the ongoing service we need access to your Google profile, Search Console and website. You give it by invitation (for example, as a manager of the Google profile or a collaborator in the website's content system) and confirm that you have the right to do so. We do not ask for passwords. The timeline of the full audit runs from the moment we get access.

We handle refunds individually, on request: write to support@seoset.app.

The ongoing service is a monthly subscription. Payment goes through Stripe once a month: the charge is taken from your card automatically until the subscription is cancelled. In the first month we set up your website and Google profile, then we do the monthly work listed on the pricing page.

The minimum term of the subscription is 2 months. You can cancel it by email to support@seoset.app from the address given at payment: we will stop the next charges. Cancelling does not release you from paying for the minimum term.

We do not guarantee Google rankings, how quickly you reach the top or the number of inquiries. By the end of month 3 you receive a report with numbers on the work done and on how rankings and inquiries from search have changed.

The site, its texts and its design belong to SeoSet.app. You may use the result of the check for your business. The names and marks of Google and other companies belong to their owners.

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or punitive damages, lost profit, or lost traffic, positions or customers, or for interruptions caused by outside services such as Google.

Our total liability to you for any claim related to the service does not exceed the amount you paid us for the service concerned in the last 12 months. For the free check that amount is zero. The law of some states does not allow such limits: in that case they apply to the extent permitted.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. If a dispute arises, please write to us first: we will try to settle it by correspondence.

We may change these terms. The new version is published on this page, and the date of the last update is shown at the top. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new version.
